He served with and was honorable discharged from the National Guard.

An avid outdoors man, he was a member of the East Herkimer Fish and Game Club and the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club. He was a “CB-er” and went by the handle Windy.

Surviving him are four sons, William Roy Jr. and his wife Bonnie Klock of Little Falls, James Robert and his wife Lisa Klock, Thimothy John and his wife Linda Klock, and Larry Michael Klock, a daughter Donna Jean and her husband Gregory Hunter, all of Herkimer; three brothers and their wives, Howard and Cathy Klock, Kenneth Jr. and Joyce Klock, all of Herkimer, Vernon and Janet Klock of Little Falls; two sisters and their husbands, Rose and Ronald Rockwell of Herkimer, June and Robert McPherson of Mohawk, five grandchildren, Lorraine, Sonja and Courtney Klock, Colby and Shelby Hunter; and great granddaughter, Marissa Hudson, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
