Mrs. Morris Klock

Louise Schram, widow of the late Morris Klock; once a commissioner of schools of this county, died at her home on Kingsbury avenue, in this village, where she passed her entire life, on Wednesday, aged sixty eight years, from an incurable affection with which she had been afflicted many years. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, among them Miss Catherine Schram, who was in direct charge of the household and who has been unremitting in her care of devotion of the deceased, who bore the inflictions without complaining. She was woman of rare intellectual attainments, conversant with booklore, a pupil in art, a conversationalist at all times entertaining always reserved in her demeanor, endowed with a kind and charitable heart and sunny nature, all combining in making her one of the most companionable of persons. Devoted to her church, steadfast in her friendships and careful in her counsels, her presence was constantly pervaded by a fragrance of kindness that made on feel a pleasure in being near her. She long knew that the shadows of death were fast gathering about her that the dawn of eternal peace was not far in the future, but being possessed of a Christian fortitude, she accepted the inevitable resignedly and it the spirit of an unfaltering hope she passed away. Deceased was the last surviving child of Jacob Schram, one of a family of former residents of this village, and his wife Catharine Groff who was a sister of the late Benjamin Groff of Crum Creek and of Mrs. Anthony Beekman of West St. Johnsville. Mrs. Klock leaves no children. Dr. C.M. Klock of this place and Attorney Geo. N. Klock of Albuquerque, New Mexico, being a step son. The funeral services were Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at the late residence. Rev. O. (really bad copy, can not read name) officiating. The body was laid to rest at West St. Johnsville cemetery.
