Ruth (Klock) Rahn Stillwater, Minn.

RUTH (KLOCK) RAHN , 77, of Stillwater, Minn., formerly of Lanark, antique dealer, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1995 in Stillwater. She operated her business in Stillwater for 15 years.

Daughter of John and Mary (Heeren) Klock, she was born June 5, 1918 in Lanark. On Nov. 5, 1937 she and Willard H. Rahn were married in First Brethren Church in Lanark where she was a member and served as a deaconess of the church. Her husband died Sept. 23, 1991.

Survivors include one daughter, Diane (Bruce) Rollie of Stillwater; one son, Darryl (Carole) Rahn of Virginia, Ill.; and four grandchildren, Laura, Johanna, Andy and Angela. In addition to her husband, her parents and brother, Leonard Klock. also preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Brethren Church in Lanark, with the Rev. Robert Schubert officiating. Burial will be in Lanark Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday to time of service at the church. Her family has established a memorial fund for the church. Arrangements were made by Russell-Frank Funeral Home in Lanark.

Obituary of Willard H. Rahn

Willard H. Rahn, 83, of 514 W. Maple St., Stillwater, Minn., a former Lanark area farmer, died Monday, September 23, 1991, at Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was a member of First Brethren Church of Lanark, where he served as deacon for many years. He also served on the board of trustees of Ashland (Ohio) University. He was a 50-year member of the Lanark Masonic Lodge and a member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau.

A son of John E. and Emma (Dambman) Rahn, he was born Sept. 21, 1908 in Carroll County. He and Ruth Klock were married Nov. 5. 1937 in First Brethren Church.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Darryl and wife, Carole, of Virginia, Ill.; one daughter, Diane and husband, Bruce Rollie of Stillwater,; four grandchildren, Andrew, Angela, Laura, and Johanna; and one sister, Esther Engles of Lanark. One brother, Edward, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Brethren Church with the Rev. Tom Schiefer officiating. Burial will be in Lanark Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Russell-Frank Funeral Home, Lanark. A memorial fund has been established.
