Kenneth W. Klock, 59, formerly o f Gouverneur, R.D. 4, retired farmer and farm equipment salesman, died Wednesday at 4:50 p.m. in St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, Ogdensburg, where he had been a patient for eight years.

The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Burr-Green Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley E. Brown, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville.

Calling hours at the funeral home are this afternoon and tonight.

Surviving are his wife, Fern, Hammond; three daughters, Mrs. George ( Shirley) Shampine, Sorrento, La., Mrs. Hugh (Sally) McElhearn, Canton, and Mrs. James (Sandra) Hyde, Hammond; a son, Kenneth W., Jr., Hammond, and three grandchildren.

Born at Theresa June 29, 1918, son of William and Minnie Peck Klock , he attended Gouverneur schools, worked on area farms and married Fern Yerdon at Gouverneur Feb. 24, 1940, with Rev. William Woods, Methodist pastor, officiating.

The couple operated a farm on the River Road near Richville and later purchased the Lavack farm on the Gouverneur-Richville Road, which they operated for 12 years.

Kenneth William Klock,(William James, Bates Aaron, Luther, John J. Jr., John J., Johannes J. and Hendrick Klock) was born June 29, 1918 in Theresa, Jefferson, New York and died February 01, 1978 in Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence, N.Y. He is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville, St. Lawrence, N.Y. He married Fern A. Yerdon on Feb. 24, 1940. The couple had four children; Shirley, Sally, Sandra and Kenneth Klock.
