Mrs. Frank Bresette Dies at 80. Ogdensburg

Mrs. Anna Klock Bresette, 80, wife of Frank D. Bresette, 533 Proctor avenue, died Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. in the A. Barton Hepburn hospital, where she had been a patient four weeks.

The funeral will be Saturday at 8:45 a.m., at the Nichols funeral home, and at 9:15 a.m. in St. John's Episcopal church, with Rev. John R. Ramsey, rector, assisted by Rev. Nelson B. Skinner, curate, officiating. The church choir will sing. Burial will be in Ogdensburg cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and Friday afternoon and evening." She was buried in Ogdensburg cemetery, Oswegatchie, NY.

Zelpha Anna Klock (Bates Aaron, Luther, John J. Jr., John J., Johannes J. and Hendrick Klock) was born August 10, 1886 and died November 16, 1966. She married Frank David Bressette on November 12, 1902 in Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, New York. They had no children but they adopted, Carlton Bresette, the oldest child of her sister, Hannah.

Frank D. Bresett, 88 Succumbs.

Frank David Bresett, 88, of 533 Proctor Ave., died at 7 p.m., Tuesday in Hepburn Hospital, where he was admitted Dec. 30. He had been ill for the past month.

The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Church. the Rev. John R. Ramsey, rector, will officiate. Burial will be in the Ogdensburg Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Nichols Funeral Home will be at the convenience of friends beginning at 7 o'clock this evening.

Surviving Mr. Bresett are one son, Carlton E. Bresett, Ogdensburg, who is manager of the Ogdensburg office of the New York State Department of Labor, and a Commissioner of Education here; three grandsons and one granddaughter; and three foster children, William A. Klock, Mrs. John (Mildred) Groulx and Miss Myrtle Klock, all of Ogdensburg, who are nephew and nieces of Mr. Bresett's late wife.

Mr. Bresett was born at Depeyster, April 23, 1882, son of Joseph and Mary Simmons Bresett. He was one of 21 children of the latter by her two marriages.

On Nov. 12, 1902, Mr. Bresett married Anna Klock of Gouverneur, the ceremony being performed in the Presbyterian Church in that village by the Rev. Charles L. Pick. Mrs. Bresett died Nov. 16, 1966. "Mr. Bresett farmed in the Depeyster area until 1950 when he began work as a carpenter for the MB Construction Co. He retired in 1965.

He was a member of St. John's Church (Episcopal), and of the Dads of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
