Obituary of Sandra Kay Breitner

     Sandra Kay Breitner of Riga, Michigan, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2004, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was to celebrate her 51st birthday on May 9th. A dedicated wife and mother, Sandy enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, genealogy, and watching, feeding, and photographing birds and wildlife. Since childhood, she was licensed as an amateur radio operator with the call of: WA8QVW. She was a long-time employee of Laberdee Construction as a secretary.
     Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 32 years, Randy; children, Ken (Regina DeShetler) Breitner of Ottawa Lake, and Dan and Becky Breitner of Riga; mother, Marge Klock; grandchildren, Cassie and Chris DeShetler, and sisters, Charlene (Jim) Roof of North Carolina and Mary Jo (Tim) Barnett of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jennifer Lynn, and father, Kenneth Klock.
     Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Tuesday, May 4, 2004, from 4-9 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Whiteford Wesleyan Church, 10285 Sylvania Petersburg Rd., Ottawa Lake, MI, Reverend Richard L. Deisler officiating. Interment Pleasantview Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.

     I have talked with Sandy on the telephone and we have enjoyed sharing information on the Klock Family.  I have the line of Sandra Kay Brietner as;  Kenneth O. Klock, Freeman E., Elijah Clock, David Clock, Jacob Conrad Clock, Conrad Clock, and Hendrick Klock.  She received the Klock Family Newsletter and enjoyed researching and genealogy.   I have met a few members of her family at the 2001 Klock Reunion and at a Klock Reunion that was held at my cousin, Jerry’s cabin in 2002.
